FAQs

Can I continue to use worn fork arms if I reduce the load weight?

No. It is mandatory to withdraw forks from service if they are worn beyond 10% of their original thickness. (AS 2359.2). Cascade can supply a fork wear gauge to assist in measuring this.

Can I stack multiple rolls with my roll clamp?

Only if the roll clamp has been designed to clamp each roll individually. The angle of the mounting group is also a consideration. We would suggest that you have one of our highly trained field consultants inspect your application.

Can I use my work platform to order pick?

No and nor can you use them for electrical work. Order picking platforms are a special design, please contact us for further information.

Can I remove the load back rest from my lift truck?

No. The Australian standard requires that a back rest be fitted. Unless the load is a solid object such as a container or bin that captures the load.

Can I lift a load with 1 fork arm?

No. Unless a specially engineered fork is provided and certified by the lift truck manufacturer.

Can I use fork extensions on my rotator?

No. Lifting with fork extensions has many risks including the risk of tipping the lift truck over. Unless a specially engineered fork is provided and certified by the lift truck manufacturer.

Can I use a side shift on my rotator?

Yes. However, this will lead to changes in the stability of the lift truck, and should only be done after having been approved by your lift truck provider or agent.

How much can I lift with the attachment fitted?

Please refer to the lift truck data plate. Any attachment fitted to the lift truck must be shown along with the residual rated capacity on the lift truck data plate.

What is a Clamp Interlock Valve?

A clamp interlock valve provides an added level of security to prevent accidental load dropping. To clamp or release a load, the operator must press and hold a button whilst operating the clamp function. It is now a requirement of the Australian Standard to have these fitted on any clamping attachment (Ref. AS 2359.6-2013 section 4.4.4.1)

When will my product be delivered?

Cascade will work with you and your lift truck dealer to provide the solution when you need it. Generally this falls in line with when the lift truck becomes available.
